The school she attended was the alternative school, where the juvenile offenders were educated however, she was sexually assaulted there by her male teacher. Annie Lederman along with another female pupil testified before the court about what happened. Following the incident, Annie Lederman became acquainted with a number pupils who had been involved in drug-dealing as well as other crimes. Annie Lederman was seventeen when she finished high school. In the following year, Annie Lederman did volunteer tasks. In the beginning, she taught dolphins for the nonprofit group in Central America and, then later, she worked in Hawaii.
