Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer known for the roles she performed as the character of Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in the fields of theater, film and TV. She started her career as an actress in theatre but then proceeded to make appearances in numerous TV shows, as well as independent and mainstream films. In 1995, she was the first actress to make her debut in The Tempest as Ariel. Her film work is highlighted by her appearances as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help.
