Anne Celeste Heche was an American actress known for her roles across a range of categories in the film and television theater. Carpenter claims that Anne rejected his proposal to portray Laurie Strode. Anne doesn't recall ever approached by John Carpenter nor being offered the role. Maybe one of her agents turned down the job on her behalf, without notifying the actress. Glen Larson, who had provided her with the first draft script of a part in the tv show Battlestar Galactica from 1978, at first, she was chosen. The character wasn't strong enough for her to accept the part. Then Glen made a different part exclusively for her featuring an even stronger character called Sheba. She accepted the Living Legend's script after having read its first 25 pages. It ran for a single season. The show was cancelled after one season.
